2014 DOCTalks Festival & Symposium Runs From February 7 to 16

The DOCTalks Symposium will open the event during the first weekend, Friday Feb. 7th to Sunday Feb. 9th. The Symposium seeks to foster a creative and knowledge based economy in Atlantic Canada and beyond, through collaborative partnerships and networks that create, fund, mobilize and distribute “socially relevant” ideas, content and programming, such as, publishing books, ebooks and articles; producing documentary films & series, animations, games, apps, interactive websites; and creating educational courses, workshops and videos.

The DOCTalks Festival will will run from Friday Feb. 7th to Sunday Feb. 16, featuring 14 Canadian and International documentary film screenings, each followed by a talk and discussion with the filmmaker, guest panelists and audience members, about the subjects and themes contained in the film.
