Mount Allison Breakfast Chat Event Focuses on the Science and Emotion of Miscarriages

SACKVILLE, NB — On Saturday, October 17 beginning at 9 a.m., the MtA Breakfast Chat on Miscarriages, organized by Mount Allison University psychology professor Dr. Rima Azar will take place at the Marshlands Inn (55 Bridge Street, Sackville).

The MtA Breakfast Chat is a public, bilingual event to discuss issues in science and health in an informal setting. This year’s talk focuses on miscarriages.

“It’s been documented that about 10-20 per cent of confirmed pregnancies result in miscarriages,” says Azar. “We hope events like the Breakfast Chat will give people the opportunity to discuss their experiences and learn from our expert panel. We encourage everyone interested in this topic to join us for the discussion.”

Speakers for the Mount Allison Breakfast Chat include:

Dr. Robyn MacQuarrie, MD FRCSC MASC, Obstetrician Gynecologist, Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, PhD Candidate, Bioethics, Dalhousie University (NS)
