W. Stewart MacNutt Memorial Lecture

The annual W. Stewart MacNutt Memorial Lecture honours the late historian, professor and humanitarian for his many contributions to UNB and to the development of Atlantic Canadian history as a field of study.

New Brunswick: Cradle of Confederation will be presented by Ged Martin, Professor Emeritus (Canadian Studies), University of Edinburgh.  Professor Martin has published widely in Canadian, Irish, and British history, including Britain and the Origins of Canadian Confederation and John A. Macdonald: Canada’s First Prime Minister.  He is an Honorary Fellow at Hughes Hall, Cambridge, and an honorary Adjunct Professor of History at both the National University of Ireland Galway and the University of the Fraser Valley in British Columbia.

The 2014 Lecture will be held at UNB Fredericton on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. in the Alfred G. Bailey Auditorium, Tilley Hall 102.

This lecture is free and open to the public.
