Open Government Consultation – Closing on Sept. 19 for two-week recess
From The Open Government Secretariat, TBS
Only a few days remain for you to help us refine and reinforce the Open Government activities to be potentially included in Canada’s Action Plan on Open Government 2.0. Please take this opportunity to contribute to a more open Government of Canada if you have not already done so.
Over the past five months the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) has been holding a Consultation on Canada’s Action Plan on Open Government 2.0, both in person and on data.gc.ca. The results have been productive, helping build and inform our vision of the Action Plan 2.0.
As part of next steps in the process, the consultation will be closing shortly on September 19, 2014 for a two-week recess. During this period we will finalize the draft version of Canada’s Action Plan on Open Government 2.0, incorporating public feedback received to date. Please see the “What We Heard” section of the consultation, highlighting the main ideas that we have received so far.
Following the recess, the consultation will then re-open on Monday, October 6, 2014 to request public input on the draft version of Canada’s Action Plan on Open Government 2.0. The draft Action Plan 2.0 will be posted for a two-week period (October 6–17, 2014) for public review.
We look forward to receiving your ongoing feedback. Thank you for your continued interest in Open Government.
