Atlantic Sanofi BioGeneius Challenge
Tuesday, April 29 10:00 am-6:00 pm
Location: Wallace McCain Student Centre Room 321, Wallace McCain Student Centre Multipurpose Room
Atlantic Regional Sanofi BioGeneius Challenge Canada (SBCC) is being held at Mount Allison University in Sackville N.B. on April 29, 2014. The purpose of the SBCC is to encourage Grade 10 to 12 students to design and carry out original experiments under the guidance of industry, university and government mentors. It is a really exciting way for students to learn what scientists do and perform experiments where, unlike school science experiments, the answers are unknown and mistakes sometimes lead to amazing discoveries.
There are 15 teams participating in this year’s Atlantic competition. High School students will be coming from all over the Atlantic provinces aiming to win the opportunity to represent the Atlantic region at the National Competition in Ottawa and up to $6,000 in cash prizes which is shared between the winners and their schools.
