Canadian Innovation Conversation
You are invited to be part of the conversation on December 15th at the Fredericton Research and Development Centre of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. Join the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) to learn about the Build in Canada Innovation Program (BCIP) and showcase your innovations to potential end users across the Government of Canada.
The BCIP is a procurement program, launched as part of the government of Canada’s commitment to promote Canada’s economic growth as announced in Budget 2012. The BCIP helps Canadian businesses to bridge the pre-commercialization gap that many businesses face in moving their innovative goods and services from the laboratory to the marketplace.
This conversation will focus on Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, their operational challenges, and the areas they are seeking innovations. Some of the areas on their innovation wish list include but are not limited to:
Real-time data acquisition applications
Modelling software
Field applications with sensor based equipment
Infrared technologies for plant status monitoring
Plant RNA/DNA quantification tools and applications,
Environment Control Monitoring systems,
Mapping technology
LED lighting technology
Energy Management Systems
Participants will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with representatives from BCIP, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, National Research Council and others. This is also a prime opportunity to network with other Canadian businesses involved in the development of innovative goods and services.
