Host of CBC Radio’s Spark to discuss how technology is shaping our lives
Are you thriving in the digital age? Nora Young, host of CBC Radio’s Spark and the author of The Virtual Self, will pose this question on Thursday, November 20 at 7:30 pm at the Wu Centre auditorium, UNB Fredericton Campus.
In the first lecture of the series Re-Imagining the Internet hosted by the University of New Brunswick’s Andrew’s Initiative, Ms. Young will present a talk, entitled Seeing the Forest and the Trees: Surviving and Thriving in the Coming Data Boom.
Admission is free and the public is invited to attend. Following the talk, Ms. Young will be available to sign her latest book, The Virtual Self: How Our Digital Lives Are Altering The World Around Us, published by McClelland and Stewart. The book will be available for sale that night.
