NBACL – Statement of Work – Individual Interviews

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 11.38.31 AMBackground

The Social Inclusion Program supports roughly 165 adults with an intellectual disability in five regions around the province of New Brunswick to live in a home of their own, be connected to recreational activities in their community and develop strong circles of support rooted in natural relationships. In 2015, a Quality Measures Tool was developed to evaluate all aspects of the program. The purpose of this Quality Measurement Tool is to ensure (as much as possible) that the Social Inclusion Program is providing quality support that will enable people to live a good life as contributing members of their communities.

The Tool has a series of outcome measures that are rated on a scale from not evident to strongly evident. The various outcome measures are meant to be discussed via a conversational interview with adults and families supported by the Program.

Scope of Work

NBACL would like to secure an external evaluator to conduct interviews with individuals supported by the Program. This will allow independent and unbiased data to be gathered about the Program. With this data, NBACL can evaluate the effectiveness of the program and the level of quality support the Program is offering.

Deliverables

• Create a report that reviews the findings of the evaluation with a particular focus on the outcomes achieved by people supported by the Social Inclusion Program and their families.

• Suggestions for improvements within the model, policies and practices of the program to better the lives of people supported by the program.

• Suggestions about NBACL’s information and data management system. Is information collected by the current data management system accurate enough? Does the system capture information in a way that is usable and beneficial?
