Qualitative Health Research Group Launch at UNBSJ
In conjunction with the Jarislowsky Chair in Interprofessional Patient-Centred Care, we (Department of Nursing and Health Sciences) are pleased to announce the launch of the Qualitative Health Research Group at UNB Saint John beginning April 2017.
The overall goal of this initiative is to bring researchers, faculty, students and other stakeholders from across disciplines and sectors together to build qualitative research capacity in the Saint John area. The objectives of the group will be to:
– Share expertise across disciplines, sectors and qualitative traditions;
– Provide a forum to explore philosophical perspectives, methodology, methods and proposals;
– Promote opportunities for networking and interdisciplinary work;
– Share resources (e.g. references, transcription services);
– Support scholastic and professional growth of undergraduate students, graduate students and post-doctoral fellows (e.g. vetting research proposals or providing mock defences).
The main focus of the group will be qualitative research in the broader context of health, and all those involved in mixed methods research or interested in developing a greater knowledge in qualitative research are welcome.
Meetings will be held monthly beginning:
Thursday, April 6, 2017 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. Room #103, Oland Hall UNB Saint John Campus
Light refreshments will be served.
